This has been a strange, strange week. The whole week just felt a little bit off. It went by really, really fast (good thing!) but it was just strange.
Saturday, April 7 - Aunt 'Ney, a friend's mother, sends Emily a dollar every holiday. Emily loves to get Aunt Ney's cards in the mail and put her dollar in her piggy bank. While she was riding her trike on Saturday, I checked the mail and Emily's card arrived. I told her she had some mail and she stopped riding her bike in the middle of the street to open her card. She LOVES getting mail from Aunt Ney!
Sunday, April 8 - Easter Sunday! It was a great day. Brad wasn't feeling well, so Emily and I went to church alone. She sat though the service with me and did great (she is usually in the nursery). Following church, Emily and I had Easter lunch at Whataburger (her choice). After Emily woke up from her nap, she opened her Easter basket, and we headed to Mimi's house for an egg hunt and dinner with the family. Emily had so much fun looking for eggs and being the center of attention. I'm not sure if Emily was more excited for Easter or Christmas.
Monday, April 9 - My job opted to close the Monday after Easter instead of Good Friday. I had the day to myself! Banjo and I cleaned out Emily's closet and caught up on a few things that needed to get done around the house. This is Banjo with her new duck. She loves this duck and won't leave it alone.
Tuesday, April 10 - After dinner Emily got pink eye. One second it wasn't there, the next her all was red and gross. We made a quick trip to Care Now for eye drops. This is how Brad entertained Emily while we waited for the doctor.
Wednesday, April 11 - I took Emily to work with me Wednesday morning. She was great and enjoyed all of the attention from my co-workers. She was watching a movie on my laptop and playing with a keyboard that wasn't hooked up to a computer. She was a little board at this point. Not long after I took this picture, she was doing forward rolls down the hall and yelling at people to come play with her.
Thursday, April 12 - Making a bead necklace.
Friday, April 13 - We had dinner with friends Friday night. This is Emily and her buddy Kyle. Emily loves Kyle and thinks that "he's silly!" (Kyle's mom is Aunt Ney)

Project 365 - Week #14
This was a crazy week! The last day of camping, Emily's baptism, tornadoes, and prepping for Easter. It's been a crazy week around our house. I'm so glad the week is over!
Saturday, March 31 - E and Brad returned from camping early that afternoon. We took it easy around the house the rest of the day. Emily made an Easter Bunny
Sunday, April 1 - Emily's baptism! This is a picture of our family with our sweet pastor, Rev. Estee. Emily isn't too sure of Estee in this picture, but she really does love Estee. The second picture is Emily and me at lunch after church. I don't have many pictures of me with Emily and this is one of my favorite.
Monday, April 2 - Emily has been taking a tumbling class on Mondays. We got to the rec center a little bit early, so I let her play in the lockers. She was happy.
Tuesday, April 3 - Tuesday was stressful. Tornadoes came through our area and neighborhood. Thankfully, we were not home when the weather hit. Our house and street are just fine, but others that are so close to us weren't nearly as lucky. Many, many, many people have lost their roofs and several have lost everything! These pictures are just a small sample of the damage within a third of a mile of our house. The last one shows Emily's innocence throughout the whole thing. She had no clue what was going on - she was just happy we were spending so much time outside (we had no power). It's a huge blessing that there haven't reports of major injuries and no deaths. The day was so scary and unreal.
Wednesday, April 4 - Playing with her kitchen.
Thursday, April 5 - E playing store with Nonie. E loves to take your order and bring back whatever you request.
Friday, April 6 - Sitting in the turtle at the zoo.

Project 365 - Week #13
This has been a busy week! Sunday evening we took our family pictures - they came out great! During the week we had something every night except Wednesday. Friday night Brad and Emily went on a Daddy/Kid camping trip with our Sunday School class. All of the girls enjoyed a night at Painting with a Twist.
Here are the pictures for the week:
Saturday, March 24 - We went to a birthday party at a jump house played. Emily LOVES this place! She was happy to bounce and bounce. She even managed to win some candy from one of the claw games.
Sunday, March 25 - We took family pictures at TCU. Emily's reward for being so good during the pictures, was a few minutes of playtime in Frog Fountain. She was such a happy little girl!
Monday, March 26 - This is our new pinwheel in the backyard. I love the rainbow colors.
Tuesday, March 27 - Ready. . . set. . . jump
Wednesday, March 28 - This is Emily's Mr. Potato Head drawing. She always draws him sideways, I don't know why, but it's cute.
Thursday, March 29 - We love the Mavs. Emily loves Dirk. She can find him anywhere on the court. It's adorable.
Friday, March 30 - Emily wanted to make cookies to share with her friends on the camping trip. She's putting the sprinkles on the cookies before we pack them up. The second picture is our picture of our finished paintings from Painting with a Twist - so much fun!

Project 365 - Week #12
I'm pretty sure I need to take a photography class. It's time to really learn how to use this new camera I got. Maybe I should read the instructions - that would probably help, too. And I'm sure I can find plenty of tutorials on Pinterest. But a class may be in my near future.
Enjoy pics from this week!
Saturday, March 17 - This is the picture that resulted in the new camera. Emily and I have read, "What Makes a Rainbow," everynight since Aunt Ney gave her the book. It's become Emily's new love. For St. Patrick's Day, we made a rainbow. I grabbed my camera to take a picture of Emily and her rainbow, only to discover a broken camera. This picture was taken with my cell phone. But I love this picture. Emily had a great time making the rainbow. She got to paint, color, use scissors, and play with glue. She was a happy girl!
Sunday, March 18 - Brad is already annoyed with me taking all sorts of pictures.
Monday, March 19 - Daddy and Emi being silly on the couch. They were growling at each other.
Tuesday, March 20 - Chick-fil-a night. Emi enjoying her ice cream.
Wednesday, March 21 - I'm not sure why she felt the need to wear her big jacket outside, but that's what she wanted. Love the big jack and flipflop look.
Thursday, March 22 - Daddy, Emi, and Banjo playing chase around the living room.
Friday, March 23 - Emi is starting to enjoy her Mr. Potato Head. Usually she moves all of the pieces from one of her purses to another, but Friday morning she created this little guy.

Week #11 - Project 365
Another week is in the books. I feel like the pictures I'm posting are from so long ago, but it was just a week ago. The week involved a birthday party, lots of outside time, and a fun day with Nonie and Peepaw. The exciting news around our house is that I got a new camera! Hopefully after this week the quality of pictures will improve. I've already had so much fun playing with the camera. Now I need to get some photo editing software. :)
Saturday, March 10 - We had a birthday party at the house for a good friend. Emily enjoyed all of the attention. This is Jenny reading with Emily.
Sunday, March 11 - First night in a big girl bed! She's done so well so far and loved her "new" bed!
Monday, March 12 - Towel ride after bath. This is one of Emily's favorite things.
Tuesday, March 13 - Emily making it snow from the tree.
Wednesday, March 14 - A picture of her crazy red hair. We can't go anywhere without someone asking or commenting on her red hair. I don't get it.
Thursday, March 15 - Banjo!
Friday, March 16 - Brad took Thursday and Friday off of work to watch all of the basketball games. Friday morning we went to the park with Nonie and Peepaw to ride the train, feed the ducks, and eat at the Food Truck Park. Emily had a great time!

Project 365 - Week #10
This week was all about Emily's new swing. She played with it every single day and LOVED every moment. I have a picture of her playing on it everyday. I thought about only posting swing pictures, but decided it break it up a little bit.
Enjoy this week's pictures.
Saturday, Feb. 3 - At Home Depot getting supplies for the new swing. They had fun at HomeDepot.
Sunday, Feb. 4 - Emily likes to run about the living room, waving her arms, saying, "Fly like a bird! Fly like a bird!" It's so funny.
Monday, Feb. 5 - Emily playing on her new swing. She wanted Brad to swing with her on the old swing.
Tuesday, Feb. 6 - Playing with macaroni and glue. She was a happy girl.
Wednesday, Feb. 7 - Playing on her new swing, again.
Thursday, Feb. 8 - Swinging like a monkey on her new swing.
Friday, Feb. 9 - Playing at the Children's Museum with her friend Ryan.
Enjoy this week's pictures.
