Project 365 - Week #21

Another trip to the zoo, ice cream, and lots of goofing off! This week we had a lot of fun and a happy girl!

Saturday, May 19 - After we left the zoo on Friday, Emily said, "I want to go to the zoo with Daddy!" I told Brad what she said and we went back to the zoo Saturday morning. Buying those season passes sure has paid off! Emily loves the birds at the zoo. This is the first time she let the bird stick on the popsicle stick and eat. She was so exited.

Sunday, May 20 - This is just a classic Emily face. I love it.

Monday, May 21 - I was about to cut a pineapple and Emily said, "I can do it Mama!" She went to her room and pulled out some of her kitchen toys to cut the pineapple. She tried the egg beaters and then decided that a knife was a better choice.

Tuesday, May 22 - Our friend Nik was in town! It's been almost a year since Emily has seen Nik but she warmed right up to him! I'm sad Nik's wife Maggie wasn't able to make the trip, but it was so good to see Nik!

Wednesday, May 23 - Emily loves playing with her baby dolls right now. She decided that this one (her name changes daily) need a new diaper. She set up a blanket, got out the wipes, and all of the baby's diapers. It was so cute. Emily also loves wearing her tutu to bed.

Thursday, May 24 - First popsicle (dreamsicle) of the year! I'm pretty sure Banjo ate more of it than Emily. And I'm pretty sure Banjo had more of it on her, too. Emily found it very funny to let the dreamsicle melt onto Banjo. Silly girls.

Friday, May 25 - Horsey ride from Daddy!

Project 365 - Week #20

This week kicked my butt! I got sick Saturday and spent all day in bed. The rest of the week I still didn't feel great and eventually went to the doctor (quack in a box) Thursday morning . I'm pretty sure the doctor just wanted to get rid of me - he wrote my FIVE, yes five, prescriptions for what he called "really bad bronchitis." I refuse to take all of the meds, but I'm finally starting to feel better!

Saturday, May 12 - This was the only picture I took all day. Banjo and her orange monster spent a lot of time in bed with me. She was a sweet dog. Brad and Emily spent the going out to breakfast, painting, riding her bike, going to McDonald's, and playing. She was a happy little girl. And I'm so thankful to Brad planning a fun day for her so I could rest.

Sunday, May 13 - Mother's Day! We spent the morning with Brad's family at church, watching his nephew get dedicated, and then headed out to lunch. Emily managed to end up with ice cream after lunch and dinner! I just thought this picture of her enjoying her lunch ice cream is too cute! The second picture is Emily and my mom together (right before getting ice cream #2). I had a sweet, but busy Mother's Day. Brad and Emily got me a Kindle Fire (LOVE IT!). I had a really sweet day with my family, just wish I would have felt better.

Monday, May 14 - Emily has found a new favorite show, Doc McStuffins on Disney Junior. She loves this show and asks to watch it multiple times a day. She was eating her yogurt and singing along with the show.

Tuesday, May 15 - Cutting potatoes and making me dinner.

Wednesday, May 16 - Emily dropped her toothpaste cap down the sink. We ended up with a new faucet. Please excuse the horrible black and gold counter tops.

Thursday, May 17 - She missed the ball and ended up on her butt about .5 seconds after I took this. She loves kicking her soccer ball in the backyard. I just asked her if she wanted to take a dance class or join a soccer team - she picked the soccer team.

Friday, May 18 - We spent Friday at the zoo with Addi and Meredith. The two girls had so much fun together! The bad thing was my camera battery died right after I took this picture. :(
Emily keeps taking about Addi coming over to swim soon!

Project 365 - Week #19

Ahhh...I'm late, very late with this post! I was sick last week and I'm just behind on everything. I've taken this weekend to catch up on some things, but others I'm just going to let go. However, keeping up with Project 365 is not something I'm willing to let go.

Here are the pics from two weeks ago. Enjoy!

Saturday, May 5 - Emily working on red velvet cake pops. She was the official batter taste tester :)

Sunday, May 6 - After baking, mixing with icing, cooling, and rolling, round #1 of the cake pops were ready to dip. Again, the official taste tester was around for the action. I just love her expression in this pic.

Monday, May 7 - Coloring time!

Tuesday, May 8 - We will be making a family trip to the beach this summer. To help Emily understand how long it's going to be until we leave we made a countdown paper chain. She loves taking a chain off everyday.

Wednesday, May 9 - I tried to make some of the cake pops in a heart shape. I think I made them way too big - this was the best one. The rest ended up in the trash. These were supposed to be teacher appreciation gifts for Emily's teachers - they got donuts instead :)

Thursday, May 10 - E has LOVED playing with beads lately. She loves stringing them, counting them, moving from container to container, throwing them on the floor...anything with beads!

Friday, May 11 - We went to a bounce house place with some friends Friday morning. Here is E climbing up the ladder.

PS - Watching Clay Aiken and Arsenio Hall sing together on the Celebrity Apprentice is very strange. Not sure I ever thought I would watch those two sing together :) Now onto work on Week #20...

Project 365 - Week #18

Sprinklers, face painting, art work, and potty training. That's what our week was all about.

Saturday, April 28 - Swinging, swinging, and more swinging. This little girl loves to swing and she loves to go really, really high. It's really cute.

Sunday, April 29 - Sunday afternoon Brad turned out the sprinklers and Emily was so happy. These pictures are out of order, but I don't feel like fighting with blogger tonight to get them right. She was so excited and so happy to play in the sprinklers.

Monday, April 30 - Emily made a train with all of her toys. The train was going to take her to the hospital to see Baby Logan. It's so funny that she still remembers going to the hospital to visit Logan.

Tuesday, May 1 - She got her face painted for the first time. A pink butterfly on her face and flower on her hand.

Wednesday, May 2 - I'm photographing some of Emily's art for a new project I'm working on.

Thursday, May 3 - Here are just a few pieces I've been scanning or photographing Emily's recent art. I'm working on a new business... information to come soon :)

Friday, May 4 - Potty Training. I've spent way too much time in the bathroom looking at this thing. Emily is doing great - I just wish she wouldn't always want company in the bathroom.
